Emerging from the shadows: Digital stories of self?advocates with intellectual disabilities

People with intellectual disabilities tend to be subjugated social roles which make them feel invisible and misunderstood. This study examines the digital stories of self-advocates explores their experiences becoming leaders. The show how people made themselves visible heard others through individual questioning, forming important alliances collective achievements. Their stories, articulated platform, were analysed using constructivist grounded theory. These demonstrated overcame adversity found ways have voices personal problems addressed.
